Nancy Shelton, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Keller, surrounded by her family, on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.
Nancy Lou (Smith) Shelton was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Tioga, TX. She was the youngest of seven children to the late Arthur James and Lemma Lois (Shadrick) Smith. She married the love of her life, Tony Royce Shelton of Pilot Point, on Feb. 12, 1951. Shortly after marriage they moved to the Fort Worth area, had four children over the next eight years, and have remained in the area throughout their lives. This year they celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Sue Shelton; her parents; and siblings, George, Clifford, Fay, A.J., and her twin, Minnie Sue.
Survivors include her husband Tony; 3 sons; Kim, of North Richland Hills, Larry (Becky), of Tullahoma, TN, and Don (Pam), of Keller; grandchildren, Tony Shelton, Kimberly Zimmerman, Greg Schweizer, Julia Schweizer, Jesse Shelton, Chelsey Preiser, Brad Shelton, Haley McDonald, and Hannah Shelton; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Nina Meyers; and a host of loving family and friends.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Pilot Point Community Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main St., Keller.
