Marine Corps SGT Nazir S.J Showell burst into this world on June 23rd, 1999. He was jandice and fighting for his tiny life and he pulled through to be the most heartfilled, caring, amazing, patient presence. At 3 years old Nazir vision was impaired in one eye however that did not stop him from reading every book that he could get his hands on. Born and raised in Philly aka Philadelphia, Nazir's schooling had ups and downs due to his love for knowledge, peace and quiet time. Nazir was raised solely by his mother Ms. Amina Showell and leaves her behind as well as sister's Breanha D.A. Showell, Leia M. Keys-Showell, Inayah H. Showell-Davis his Grandmother Rosa Lee (LadyBug)
also his favorite Uncle Keith Braheem Woodson and little brother Nakar Matthew Woodson with a whole host of family and friends. Nazir was also a very proud God-Father of Leonardo Daniel Lopez born April 13, 2014 son of his best friend Luis Daniel Lopez. Nazir was one of the smartest, strongest, sweetest person to encounter. He graduated from Dr. Henry A Wise, Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro Maryland June of 2017. He enrolled himself into what he considered to be the strongest branch of military service. Nazir surpassed the ASVAB testing and was allowed to choose his positions within the Marines. His love of electronics and defying all odds his choice was Aviation Mechanics. SGT Nazir Saladeem Jabbar Showell while in the Marines Corps excelled quickly making Sgt in 4 years and being trained as the Iron Man on the post. He loved to learn and educate himself, teaching himself how to be mentally and physically strong. He was currently attending Asnuntuck Community College in Charlotte NC, while doing engineering work at Wittenbach Business Systems. SGT Nazir Saladeem Jabbar Showell of the Marines Corps was 24 years old and had the spirit of a KING, the heart of a LION and the soul of a WARRIOR!!!!
