Marshall was born in Durham, North Carolina in October of 1968. He graduated from Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX in 1986 and received a BA in English Literature from Baylor University in Waco, TX in 1990.
Marshall was married to Kelly R. Dunn (Ryon) in July of 1995 in Dallas, TX. Together they joyfully welcomed their daughter Margaret (Meg) Ryon Dunn in June of 1997 and their son James Garrett Dunn in March of 2001. Marshall was an amazing husband and a wonderful dad.
Marshall co-founded CCT Plastics in 1999, and, together with his business partner/mentor, built a successful plastics machining company in Grapevine, TX.
Marshall enjoyed learning and teaching the most. He was a voracious reader and loved sharing his vast knowledge of his widely varying interests with his family and many friends; he especially found great pleasure in teaching his children, Meg and James, who are lovers of learning like their Dad. Marshall was intelligent beyond measure, hilariously funny, artistically talented, usually off-color, and always kind.
Marshall is predeceased by his brother, Samuel Chester Dunn II; his paternal grandparents, Samuel Chester and Elizabeth Dunn (Henabray); his maternal grandparents Ray Garrett Jr. and Virginia Garrett (Hale); and his step-mother Maureen Dunn (Anderson).
Survivors are his wife, Kelly; and his children, Meg and James. He is also survived
by his father, Neil Dunn and his wife, Marcy, of Center Point, TX; his mother Susan G. Dunn (Garrett) of Keller, TX; his father and mother-in-law, Ken and Maureen Ryon of Keller, TX, his brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Kim Dayley of Keller, TX; his nephews, Cameron, Collin, Zachary and Josh Dayley; and his many other friends and family members who hold him dear in their hearts.
