In Loving Memory of Neva Jo Bennett Tedders
Neva Jo Bennett Tedders, born on April 29, 1941, peacefully passed away in her sleep on November 15, 2023, at the age of 82. Neva's journey through life was marked by a dedication to her work and a genuine love for nature and family.
In the early years of her career, Neva contributed her talents to the offices of construction companies, and after retiring, she discovered a passion for customer service at Wal-Mart and her green thumb found joy in the garden center, cultivating and caring for a variety of plants including her own Piñata Roses.
Neva's love for family and good food were constants in her life. She cherished moments spent with her brothers, Harry and Eugene, indulging in nostalgic conversations and savoring memories of their mom's southern cooking. From her mom’s homegrown fruits and veggies, homemade millionaires pies, Eugene's hamburgers, Deb’s grilled steaks, and her own holiday deviled eggs, Neva found joy in the simple pleasures of shared meals.
Neva shared her mother's passion for the Dallas Cowboys, eagerly cheering on the team each week even after her mom’s passing. Their mutual love for the Cowboys not only reflected a shared interest but also served as a bonding experience throughout Neva’s life with her brothers and her daughter.
Neva leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Petrikat, and grandson, Calvin Petrikat, her brothers, Harry and Eugene Bennett, along with their wives Becky and Margaret. Her memory lives on through her nieces and nephews: Bobbie, Randall, Kasey, Cody, and Megan, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to convey heartfelt gratitude for the time and care extended by Neva's dear friend, Betty Lee, in recent times.
Neva Jo Tedders is now reunited with her beloved parents, Betty Jo and Herbert Bennett, in the comforting embrace of heaven.
May her spirited character and the lively memories she leaves behind bring comfort to those mourning her loss.
