Nina, 77, passed away on December 15, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral: 10:00 am Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Lucas Funeral Homes, Grapevine, Texas. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Lucas Funeral Homes, Grapevine, Texas. Burial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
She was a stay at home devoted wife and mother for eight years. Taking care of twin girls was a full time job. She then worked at Birdville School District until retiring at the age of 62 which gave her more time to be a doting grandmother and great grandmother. One of her greatest pleasures was camping, in which she made numerous lifetime friends. Her hobbies included playing games and also quilting. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hamilton.
Nina was preceded in death by father, Clarence Lee Dodson; mother, Rosie Lee Dodson; and daughter, Jean Kay.
Survivors: husband, Joe Strong; daughter, Jan Babe (Eddie); grandchildren, Felica (Justin), JT (Tori), and Travis Palmer; great grandchildren, Taylin and Bristol Stone.
