Norma June Smith, 84 of Fort Worth, TX died Sunday, September 27, 2020. Born July 22, 1936 in Indianola, IA, daughter of Carl and Laura Ruth Vickroy. Sister of Harold and Jo Anne Vickroy. Norma was preceded in death by her mother, brother, and sister. Norma is survived by 4 children from her first marriage to Donald William Bannin, Bernard, Anne, Jack, and Theresa, and 1 child, Christopher Allen Woodall from her second husband, Garry A. Woodall as well as eight grandchildren. Norma lived in Iowa, Nebraska, Mississippi, Florida, Guam and Texas. Norma was a U.S. Air Force veteran, artist, animal lover, and a lover of music and theater. She was an avid learner, taking college courses well into her 60s. Norma had a vibrant and infectious faith and loved praise and worship music. Deeply caring, she spent many years caring for others as an elder care-giver. She loved animals and rescued dozens over her lifetime. Donations in memory of Norma can be made to the Humane Society of North Texas www.hsnt.org .
