Oscar Esparza Vijil

Oscar Esparza Vijil, 84, of Burleson, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 6:30pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave, in Burleson, with a Rosary to begin at 6:30pm. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 100 SW Alsbury Blvd, in Burleson. A graveside service will be at 10:00am, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, in Dallas.
Oscar was born January 28, 1938, in Royalty, Texas to Juan G. and Eloisa Esparza Vijil. He is the third of 15 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Eloisa Vijil; wife, Gloria Vijil; sister, Eudelia V. Jaquez; brother, Porfirio E. Vijil; and son, Ruben Vijil.
Oscar is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Fortson; grandchildren, Nathan Vijil and wife, Christina, Jami and Eric Sifford, and Jayson Fortson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Vijil, Logan Vijil, Amoura Vijil, Cali Fortson, and Jax Fortson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
