Otis Wayne Bogan, passed away from this life, on August 17, 2020, at the age of 73, at his home in Keller,TX. Wayne was born to Otis and Elsie (Brake) Bogan on June 10, 1947, in De Queen, AR. He married his childhood sweetheart, Shirley Blackerby on April 6, 1968, and they shared a wonderful 52 years together. Wayne worked for Birdville School District from 1969 until 1990. After his retirement from Birdville, he owned and operated ABCO Appliance Parts Co. in Arlington, TX, for 28 years. Wayne enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He made many happy memories with them throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed working with his hands and was constantly designing, building something. His hobby was designing, building, and flying model airplanes, which he greatly enjoyed; but his main focus in life was his faith in God. Wayne was saved in 1966 and has faithfully served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Keller Holiness Church for many years.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley, of the home; 3 Daughters, Angela Jones and husband Kevin of Roanoke, TX, Rhonda Reed and husband Jeff of Wynnewood, OK, and Kimberly Barfield and husband Paul, of Roanoke, TX; 12 grandchildren, Sheldon Jones and wife Joanna, Breanna Bernard and husband Samuel, Liberty Jones, Melody Jones, Heather Weeks and husband Marvin, Trevor Reed and wife Alicyn, Kaycee Reed, Natalie Reed, Ashley Barfield, Katheryn Barfield, Christopher Barfield, and Lauren Barfield; 4 great grandchildren, Julianna, Caleb, and Levi Jones, and Lamuel Bernard. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Mary Underhill and Verna Cypert, and 3 brothers, Gerald, David, and Ricky Bogan.
