Ottis “John” Trumon Johnston, age 78, was born September 3, 1945, in Jonesboro, Louisiana and passed away on February 25, 2024, in Grapevine, Texas. He was born to Donnie Avil (Brown) Johnston and Jesse Galloway Johnston.
He graduated from Weston High School in Weston, Louisiana. Following graduation, he served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. After 28 years of dedicated service to our country he retired as a Chief Master Seargent (CMSGT). He also was in charge of the sound system and a Sunday School teacher for Hodge Baptist Church and the Maintenance Director at Cedar Creek School where he also retired.
He enjoyed working in the yard planting flowers, working on his mustang and just enjoyed working, that was his pleasure in life. He loved listening to music and loved the Lord and his family.
He is preceded in death by his 8 siblings, Lucille, Louise, Elouise, Clifford, Evelyn, Sharon, Louis and Bobbie; mother, Donnie Avil Johnston and his father, Jesse Galloway Johnston.
Ottis is survived by his loving wife, Wilma W. Johnston (Olmsted), daughter, Pamela R. Presley (Johnston) and her spouse, David N. Presley, daughter, Kimberly D. Sustaire (Johnston) and her spouse, Bradley Sustaire; grandkids, Joshua A. Presley, Caleb S. Presley, Aaron T.J. Presley and Matthew R. Sustaire; sisters, JoAnn (Donald) Waits and Barbara (Dennis) Otwell; brothers, Sonny (Lois) Johnston, Roger Johnston, Jerry (Bonnie) Johnston and many more nieces and nephews.
