ARLINGTON -- Ouida Marcelle Pickett died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.
Ouida was born in Comanche County on May 17, 1922. She graduated from Stephenville High School in 1939 and later attended the then Texas State College for Women in Denton. Ouida worked at various jobs in Fort Worth during World War II. After the war ended she attended the University of Texas at Austin and Loyola University Law School in New Orleans. In 1952, she was employed by Chevron Oil Company in New Orleans, and retired from Chevron in 1985 in Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Nathan Bronson; and brothers, Billie Sid Pickett and J. Daryl Pickett.
Survivors: She leaves her sister, Sherrianne Pickett, her brother, Kenneth Pickett; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as friends, Connie Berg of North Field, Minn., Beate Jamison of Watauga, and Dolores Elliot of Farmington, N.M.
