Patricia Ann Rogers Scarbrough Lancaster

March 1, 1929 — April 11, 2025

Hurst

Patricia was born on March 1, 1929, in Bertram, Texas, to Elda and Thelma Campbell Rogers. Pat attended school and grew up there along with her younger brother, and after graduating from high school, Pat moved to Austin and attended business school.

While there, she met her first husband, Loris Scarbrough, and when Loris had graduated from college, they moved to San Antonio, Texas, where they lived for many years. Pat loved being a housewife and mother to their daughter, Debbie. Her hobbies included cooking, raising flowers, hosting dinner parties, sewing clothing for her and her daughter, and doing needle work, especially cross stitch.

After Loris died, Pat married Lloyd Lancaster and moved to New Braunfels, Texas, where they lived for several years. Pat and Lloyd loved traveling and took several cruises, visiting the Caribbean and Europe and snowbirding in Florida.

When Lloyd passed away, Pat moved to Ft. Worth to be closer to relatives. She lived there until last fall, when her relatives in Kansas persuaded her to move to Topeka to a private nursing home. Pat agreed and loved being pampered and spoiled right up to the end of her life.

Pat is survived by a brother, Billy Rogers, a sister-in-law, Susan Scarbrough, a stepson, Lloyd (Bud) Lancaster, Jr, (Michele) and many nieces and nephews. No services are planned. Pat will be buried with her first husband, Loris, in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
