Patricia Joan McDonnell, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on April 5,2017 at the age of 64.
FUNERAL: Mass of Christian Burial will be held April 10, 2017 at 10am at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, 1000 Tinker Rd, Colleyville, TX. VISITATION: The family will receive friends and a vigil service will be held at Good Shepherd from 6-8pm on April 9, 2017. Internment will also be at Good Shepherd.

Patricia was born June 24, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Dan and Marion Martin. She graduated from Iowa State University where she met her future husband. A devoted mother of her two children, she was a living example of faith, patience and love.
While caring for her children, she also spent many hours volunteering in various ministries including: Catholic education, Eucharistic ministry, visiting nursing home residents and various pro-life activities. She also enjoyed playing adult soccer for more than 20 years.
Patricia fought a long and courageous nine year battle of multiple myeloma cancer and amyloidosis which led to congestive heart failure and compromised her lungs and kidneys. During her long ordeal she continued to exhibit her strong Catholic faith that has been an inspiration to countless family and friends.
SURVIVORS: Her husband of 41 years, Stephen McDonnell; son, Mark and his wife, Sang; daughter, Suzanne; and grandchildren Benjamin, Katherine, Charlotte and Josephine. She is also survived by her siblings Mary, John, Beatrice, Kathy, Andrea and Bill all of whom live in Iowa and Illinois.
