Chris Medon of Keller, TX, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at the age of 73.
She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on September 26th, 1948, in Melbourne, Australia, to Hugh and Patricia Watts. As the daughter of a Colonel in the US Army, she grew up in exotic places like Australia and the Philippines before settling in Stockton, CA. As an adult, she continued to create beautiful homes for her family across the country including Albuquerque, Chicago, Monroe, and Edwardsville. She worked for many years in retail and as a preschool teacher but always took greatest pride in raising her family. She cherished her role as mother and later in life as “Nanny” to her four beloved grandchildren. She created beautiful gardens wherever she lived and was proud to be a Master Gardener.
Chris is survived by her husband, Phil, and two daughters, Jennifer (Vance) Nickelson of Monroe, LA, and Carrie Caldwell of Keller, TX, her twin sister, Suellen Edgar of Redlands, CA, and brother, Andrew Watts of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by four beloved grandchildren, Addison and Cade Nickelson, and Cole and Clay Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter Watts.
A memorial service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX, on Saturday, September
17th, 2022, at 10 am.
