Patricia “Pat” Annie Meade was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, friend, and great grandma. Despite failing health for the past twelve years, she faced her challenges with strength, dignity and grace and was loved by all who cared for her. She left this world after a short illness on February 28, 2022, at age 82.
The only daughter among nine children, Patricia was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Thomas and Annie McCann on March 17, 1939. Through a friend, she met her husband, John R. Meade, a British Navel seaman, who was on leave. They married on April 21, 1959, and for the next 51 years together, they raised their family including two daughters: Eleanor (Paul) Bennett and Erica (John) Janczak.
Together, they would live in Singapore, England, Canada, Alaska, Illinois, and she eventually moved to Texas following her husband’s passing. Patricia loved to travel, socialize with friends, fellowship through the church, volunteer with various local groups and spend time with her family.
Patricia has been reunited with the love of her life John and is no longer bound by the confines of a wheelchair nor this earth. She is survived by her brother Terence McCann; her daughters Eleanor and Erica; six grandchildren Serena, Lindsay, Brittany, Anna, Julia, and Matthew; and three great-grandchildren: Brody, Niccolo, and Beau.
Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX has provided cremation services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in her honor. A Celebration of Life and scattering ceremony will be determined at a future date.
