Patrick West of Fort Worth, Texas went to heaven on July 24, 2020 following a short illness. He was born December 28, 1972 in Terrell Texas, the fourth of five children to William and Catherine West. He moved with his family to Grapevine, Texas in 1975.
Patrick was a 1991 Graduate of Grapevine High School. Following High School, he earned Bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and History as well as a Master Degree in History from the University of North Texas.
For many years he held sales positions in various companies in the Restaurant / Food handling industries. He able to sell everything from paper products to chemicals.
Patrick will always be remembered as someone who loved to laugh. He had many, many funny stories to tell about things that had happened to him. He could laugh at himself with ease. He was also extremely good at impersonating his family members. His pranks were also something to behold. His sharp wit could really come up with some whoppers. As was his style they were never mean. Patrick was a kind soul who did not have a mean bone in his body. He simply wanted everyone to get along.
Those who knew him understood that his two favorite past times were sports and cooking. He was an avid sports memorabilia collector, especially anything involving the Cowboys, Notre Dame and Base Ball. He was a true devotee of the Food Channel and loved to cook for people.
Above all else he loved his children, Abby and Will. You could not even have the shortest conversation with him without him having to tell you some funny story about something one of them did. He could not stand to go a single day without talking to them.
Patrick is survived by his Daughter, Abigail West and son, William West both of Lewisville, Texas, Brother Jeffery (Shelly) West of Grapevine, Texas, Michael (Kelly) West of Watauga, Texas, Erin (Scott) McAfee, Flower Mound, Texas and Shannan West, Forth Worth, Texas. Nieces and nephews, Joshua Bell, Kaitlin West, Taylor McAfee, Madison West, Megan McAfee. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Catherin West.
