Patsy Ruth Mason-Brown, passed away at 94 years young with her daughters by her side, in her home of 55 years on October 31, 2020 after a gallant battle with breast cancer.
Graveside service 2:00 pm Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with Military Honors. Lane #1.
Born Patsy Ruth Mason on August 13, 1926 to Quilla and Eddie Marie Odom Mason in Queen City, Texas. She had three siblings, Kenneth, Herb and Jimmie.
Patsy enlisted in the United States Army during World War II as a clerical administrator state side and received an honorable discharge in 1945. Pat married Vindell Brown in 1947, soon followed by the birth of two daughters Sharon Brown Brewer (Spouse Mark Brewer) and Toni Brown Boswell (Fiancé Kevin Maynes). Also survived by Step Granddaughter Kerri Cooper and family, Nephew Tom Hart and family and Niece Johanna Smith and family.
She got her Real Estate license and enjoyed working with families and finding homes for them. In her pastime she enjoyed oil painting and painted many beautiful pictures, she always looked forward to spring and going to the nursery, buying and planting flowers in her yard. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays and all the family getting together to celebrate. She loved the companionship of her little Shih-Tzu rescue Bitsy. She was a loving Mother, always with a smile.
An outdoor reception will follow the service at the home of her nephew Tom Hart, 4245 Matthew Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052.
