Paul Adams Butler, 80, passed away April 17, 2022 at his home. He was born May 27, 1941 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to Melvin and Florence Howland Butler. Paul lived in Pawtucket for six years before moving to Fort Worth. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1961.
After high school, Paul served four years in the United State Navy. He was active on the mine sweeper during the Cuban Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1965, achieving the rank of E-3. Paul went to work at General Motors in 1964 and was there 33 years before retiring in 1997.
Paul married Patricia Traer in 1961 in Fort Worth, and they were happily married for 60 years. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing and doing yard work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Florence Butler.
Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia Butler; daughters, Paula Harris and Patty Faglie; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Boulevard Baptist Church for helping us in our time of need. I will always love Brother Paul Cooper and his wife, Lisa and Brother Terry Williams and his wife, Sheila, and Brother Vernon Travis and his wife, Dorothy. They have always been there for our family.
