Pearl was born August 17, 1926, in DeFuniak Springs, Fl to Jessie A. and Alice N. Mitchem, and was one of 11 children. In 1945, she married Comer Curtis Wolfe of Milton, Fl with whom she had four sons. In 1963 they moved from Pensacola, Fl to Dallas, TX, and then to Little Elm in 1967. After the death of her first husband in 1968, she then married Henry L. “Buddy” Gentsch of Little Elm in 1971, thus gaining a stepson and stepdaughter.
Pearl was a devout and virtuous Christian woman. Though she was a member of Church at the Cross in Grapevine for the past 10 years, for most of her adult life, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Little Elm, now known as CrossRidge Church. She was always concerned about helping others in need. This concern led her to establish the Little Elm Area Food Bank in 1984 as a legacy of giving to others.
Pearl was preceded in death by her late parents, both husbands, and all siblings except one.
