HALTOM CITY -- Pedro "Pete" Longoria of Haltom City passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7341 Glenview Drive, North Richland Hills, 76180. A private family graveside will follow in Bourland Cemetery in Keller.

He was born to the late Pedro Longoria Sr. and Alejandra Alonzo on Dec. 21, 1927, in McAllen.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend are all roles Pedro, or "Grandpa Pete," played with joy and pride. He was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Pete was devoted to his faith, and he was an example of Christ's love to all he met.
Pete spent his career serving in the United States Air Force, and he achieved the rank of staff sergeant. Once retired, Pete didn't let life slow him down. He remained active in his daily life, and he continued to visit Carswell Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth where he worked in the Commissary brightening the day for all those lucky enough to cross his path.
Pete will be remembered for his charm, perseverance, loyalty, humility, friendliness and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Longoria, and his daughter, Carol Jane Brittian.
Survivors: He is survived by his grandchildren, Ronda Brittian and Michael Brittian and Michael's wife, Lucy; and his precious great-grandchildren, Grace, Collin and Ashton Ramadan and Will and Ben Brittian. He is also survived by his sisters, Viola Gonzalez and Hilda Watson; as well as many other close family and friends.
