Peggy A Cariker

Peggy Ann Cariker was born 08/25/1939 to Jake and Clemmie Greer in Floyd, County, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart AJ and they soon embarked on a 20 year Navy career. In addition to raising 3 children while moving to different duty stations, Peggy was able to earn a Bachelors of Education degree from University of Oklahoma in 1970. She began her teaching career in the 1960’s. At the end of AJ’s, 20 year Navy career, Peggy was able to earn her Master’s in Education from Texas Women’s University in 1981, while teaching in the Birdville ISD.
Peggy and AJ loved to travel and continued throughout their lives together. Peggy traveled the world and US- but always with family. From her children to her grandchildren every trip could be and was a learning experience.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dorothy Lowe.
She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, AJ, her children David Cariker and wife, Tina, Paul Cariker and wife, D’Anne, Nancy Cariker-Moon, 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
