Peggy Jean Starks

BURLESON -- Peggy Jean Starks, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 with her family and friends at her side. Funeral will be held at The Fountains Fellowship Church, 812 S. Crowley Rd., Crowley, 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2014. Visitation, 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home, Burleson.
Peggy was born March 1, 1943, to N.E. and Gertrude Padgett in Artesia, New Mexico. She was married to Tommy J. Starks for 52 years. Peggy taught special needs children for BISD for over 20 years. She spent most of her life volunteering with organizations such as CPA, COPs, Relay for Life, Support our Soldiers, Burleson Fire Department and President of the Burleson Band Boosters. Her loving and generous nature touched so many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents N.E. and Gertrude Padgett and son Tommy Starks, Jr.
Survived by her husband Tommy J. Starks; as well as her children, daughter, Leeann Clark and husband, Tom, and son, Robbie Starks; eleven grandchildren, Chris, Buster, Chad, Angela, Amanda, Brandon, Zach, Hayley, Brittany, Luke and Chelsea; six great-grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Lou Rooney; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
