Perla Maria Navarro, on June 7, 2017 in Southlake, Texas. Born on February 1, 1932 in Matagalpa, Nicaragua and widowed of Ernesto V. Navarro Richardson (1926 – 2007). She was the daughter of Samuel Amador and Soledad Pineda – and second generation from Catalonia, Spain.
Beloved mother of Ernesto A. (Martha), Samuel E. (Alexandra), Carlos J. (Maria Martha), and Rodrigo J. (Lucia). Cherished grandmother to Martha A. (Ivan), Ana M. (Phil), Ernesto R. (Emily), Raymond J. (Laina), Samuel R. (Brittney Marie), Alejandro E., Sylvia C., Ana P., Fabiola M., Melissa A., Lucia A., Rodrigo J., and Carlos R., as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Navarro lived in Southlake, Texas since mid-2016 after moving from Greenwich, Connecticut, where she resided for over 12 years, and prior to that in Miami, Florida. Widow of Ernesto V. Navarro Richardson, who had a long distinguished diplomatic and political career, and lived in Mexico City when he was Ambassador from Nicaragua to Mexico. Her legacy as a family matriarch across generations is remembered clearly for her strong family and Christian values for everything in life. A true lady in the old fashion way. Her love and advice will be missed.
Memorial services in Miami, Florida, and Managua, Nicaragua will be announced soon.
