Peter James Sandoval

Peter James Sandoval, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2024. 

He was born on May 13, 1954, in Dalhart, Texas to Pete and Amelia Sandoval. He was a graduate of Dalhart High School, class of 1972. His first job was as a D.J. at a radio station in his hometown. Peter worked in transportation and logistics the last 30 years of his career. 

Peter never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, playing golf, going to the drag races, and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed connecting with friends and family on social media. 

Peter was a soft hearted, compassionate man, who loved his family, pets and cared about abandoned animals. He was very devoted to animal rescue and worked with non-profit groups to find forever homes to every stray animal he found. 

Peter's faith in the Lord was very important to him, as he served for years as a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Cleburne, Texas. 

Mourning his passing are his wife of 34 years, Cheryl Sandoval; his children, Sean Sandoval and wife, Amber, Angie Miller and husband, Bill, and Aimee Gros; his grandchildren Chase Sandoval, Ember Sandoval, Sterling Sandoval, Avery Miller, Addison Miller, and Benjamin Miller; great grandchildren Lucas Sandoval, Mason Sandoval, and Laura Sandoval. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Amelia Sandoval; and brothers Anthony Sandoval, and Jerry Sandoval. 

Peter will be dearly missed, and his memory will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. 

A Memorial Service will be held on October 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Lucas Funerals and Cremations -Burleson.
