Philip Stephen Simms

Philip Stephen Simms, 55, passed away on 2, July,2020 at his home, in Burleson, TX. He was born June, 5, 1965 in Fort Worth,to Joe and Ada Simms. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, July 6 at Lucas and Blessings Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 7 at Burleson Church of Christ,1150 NW John Jones Dr in Burleson, with burial to follow at Burleson Cemetery.
Phil grew up in Burleson and attended Burleson High School. He began work for Eakin Pipeline as a Superintendent where he worked for 34 years. Phil coached, mentored and influenced many lives through youth baseball in Burleson for 15 years.
Phil married Beverly in 1985 in Burleson. They were happily married for 34 years. Phil was a long-standing member of Burleson Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his
grandchildren.
Phil was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joe and Ada Simms; uncle, Charles Almand; brother, Paul Simms; and nephew Todd Simms.
Phil is survived by his wife, Beverly of Burleson; son, Michael Simms; daughter, Randi Simms; son, Ross Simms and wife, Allison; brothers, Charles Simms and wife, Joyce, Bill Simms and wife, Lola; sister, Laura Dickerson and husband, Don; sister-in-law, Cindy Simms; grandchildren, Korbin, Landon, Kynlee, and Briella.
