Phillip Grant Astiz

Phillip Grant Astiz passed away on April 3, 2021 near Wills Point, Texas. He was 45 years of age.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas.

Phil was born on October 31, 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a graduate of L.D. Bell High School in Bedford. Phil had a love of the great outdoors and spent as much time as he could going camping, hunting, fishing, and scuba diving. He also enjoyed cooking and being with his family and friends. It is said that Phil never knew a stranger and was a true friend to many people. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Phillip was preceded in passing by his grandfather, Dr. C.Z. Underwood; grandmother, Margaret Underwood; and his uncle, Carl Underwood.

He is survived by his mother, Lynn Astiz of Fort Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Deana Astiz of Bedford; niece, Alex Astiz of Bedford; aunt and uncle, Zana and Chip Davis of Granbury; cousin, Jaime Emfinger of Grapevine; cousin, Cody Davis of Aledo; and many loving friends.
