Phillip Remon Sanders, “Phil,” was born November 15, 1953, to the loving parents of Andrew and Inez Sanders in Fort Worth, TX. He attended Riverside Elementary School in the Fort Worth Independent School District in grades one through four and completed his education in the Birdville Independent School District graduating from Haltom High school in 1972. He attended Ranger Junior College and played football. He also attended Tarrant County Junior College and obtained an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
Phil had a very successful career working for 39 years at United Parcel Service (UPS) with a perfect safety record. Phil retired in 2015 and continued his passion for hunting and gardening. He tilled, plowed, and cultivated the same land as his father and ancestors, while maintaining the legacy of the pioneer settlers, Major and Malinda Cheney.
Phil was a lifetime member of Valley Baptist Church. As a devoted servant of God, he held the office of Deacon, Brotherhood President, and Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Inez Sanders, and his brother, Paul. He leaves to cherish his memories, Drew (Gloria), Brenda (Dennis), Chorlette, Timothy (Christee), Trina, and Michaelangelo Antoine (Julie), along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, extended family, and friends.
