Priscilla Irene Birkhold (Hoover) age 90 of Bedford, TX passed away on December 3, 2017. Priscilla was married to Donald M. Birkhold for 59 years before his death on August 24, 2007.

Priscilla was born on February 9, 1927 in Centreville, MI. She received a Registered Nursing degree from Walter Memorial/Mercy College in Chicago, IL. Among many highlights, Priscilla stated that her major accomplishments in life were a happy marriage of 59 years to a loving husband and her dedication to positively influencing the lives of her 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Anyone lucky enough to know Pris was touched by her sense of humor. Asking for an olive sandwich the day before dying even got a laugh. Priscilla’s unwavering faith provided a strong foundation for her family while she continually passed on God’s grace to family, friends, and strangers she met during her journey.
Priscilla’s hobbies included golf, bridge, painting, playing the organ, creative song writing, and playing a multitude of family games. Priscilla was an active member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Ada, MI until her move to Texas.
A private memorial service and internment to be held in Centreville, MI at a time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any charity. Priscilla supported the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and Lutheran World Relief.
