Ramona Kaye Faber, born September 9, 1959 in Columbus, Mississippi to Grover and Mary Carr, was peacefully ushered into heaven on July 25, 2022 in Keller, Texas.
On June 30, 1979, she was married to James Faber. Jim and Mona embarked on their life together, moving often, and spent the following eleven years in service with the United States Air Force. Mona fell seamlessly into the role of an officer’s wife, supporting Jim in his flying endeavors.
In June of 1985, Jim and Mona welcomed their first child, Brandon, and five years later, their daughter, Kelsey, in October of 1990. The family of four settled in Keller, Texas in June of 1992.
Spunky and vivacious, Mona spent her days serving the Lord by loving those around her. She wholeheartedly loved her husband, diligently served at her childrens’ schools, and faithfully worked at church. Youth Sunday school teacher, PTA room mom, pastor search committee member, preschool teacher, and chair of the church hospitality committee are just a few of the hats Mona wore day in and day out. A skilled homemaker, Mona took great pride in creating a beautiful and welcoming home and cooking for the people she loved. Perhaps the most beloved role Mona held was that of Go-Go; she was born to love her grandbabies.
Mona is preceded in death by her father, Grover Carr. She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Brandon and wife Lauren (Georgia, Charlie, Hadley Kaye); daughter, Kelsey Baty and husband Tom (Benjamin, Caroline); mother, Mary Parrish; sister, Claire Jolly and husband Jeff (Paxton).
