Randal “Randy” Lovell aka "Stick" was born February 24, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas the eldest son of Charles and Betty Lovell.
After graduating from Paschal High School, Randy joined the United States Marine Corps in 1976. He was posted in El Toro and trained as an aircraft structural mechanic. He served as a Flying Tiger HMH-361, flying at all hours to all US territories providing repairs to get aircraft back in the skies. He received an honorable discharge in May of 1984 as an E-5, Sargent.
After discharge, he held a lifelong career as a welder and welding inspector in the Fort Worth Area and beyond. You may be benefiting from his passion for the craft when you turn on your lights from his work at Comanche Peak and oil field endeavors.
In 1984 he married Wanita, his wife of 38 years. They enjoyed a longstanding debate as she is a 23-year veteran of the Army.
Randy had many passions in his full life including the Corps, competition marksmanship, big game hunting in Africa, rodeo, trail riding, welding, gun repair, reloading, Harley riding, and holding a place on an available stool at Bill’s Gun Shop (one of the original Gunsluts).
Survived by his spouse Wanita Ann aka “Tootie” or “The General”, brother Bradley Keith Lovell, children Cathrine Greene and fiancé Daryll, Christine Radons and spouse Keith, Joy Havner and spouse Grey, grandchildren Nerissa, Adrian and Erin, and adopted loving caregivers Bailey and Tina.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
