On June 26, 2022 we lost a beautiful soul but God gained a beautiful angel. Raquel Yolanda Villegas Flores a loving sister, wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. Has sadly passed away at the age of 82 and entered her way into heaven after battling a long 6 months of Lymphatic Cancer. Raquel was a strong woman who always gave her all and stood proudly for what she believed in. She not only showed her loved ones a great amount of unconditional love but also those who may have crossed her path. She knew how to light up a room just from her presence from her smile, jokes and laughs she would share. Raquel was born on November 19, 1939 in Granjeno, TX to Arturo Sr. and Ana R. Villegas. She then married her best friend Raul Flores in 1967 and they were blessed with two beautiful loving daughters Yvette and Yolanda.
Raquel was preceded in death by: her father, Arturo Villegas Sr.; her mother, Ana R. Villegas; Siblings, Arturo Villegas Sr. (Herminia +), Ramiro Villegas Sr. (Margarita +), Blanca Villegas, Jose Luis Villegas Sr. (Esther); Nephew, Francisco B. Luna Jr.
She is survived by her: loving husband for 55 years Raul Flores; two daughters, Yvette (Nazmul) Chowdhury, Yolanda (Hilario III) Leija; Grandchildren, Shawon (Catlin) Chowdhury, Jasmine (Julio) Pacheco, Yvena Chowdhury, Landen Leland Leija; Great-Grandchild Giuseppe Vicenz Pacheco and Siblings, Ruben Villegas Sr. (San Juanita), San Juana Villegas (Francisco Luna +), Jesus M. Villegas (San Juana), Maria Isabel V. Rivas (Daniel Sr.), Diana V. Chapa (Oscar) and loving nieces and nephews.
Date and location of service:
The Visitation and Rosary will be on June 30, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. (CT)
At Lucas Funeral Home- Grapevine 700 W Wall Street Grapevine, TX 76051
The Funeral Mass will be the following day on July 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.
At St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 861 Wildwood Ln Grapevine, TX 76051
