Ray William Johnson

Ray William Johnson was born on October 3, 1926 in Greenville, Pennsylvania to the late Marie (Smith) Johnson and R. Rhinehart. He passed away on June 22, 2021 in Bedford, Texas.

At the age two years old the family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family was transferred to several areas of Louisiana until the family moved to Fort Worth when Ray was 14. After high school graduation, marriage, and serving in the United States Air Force during WWII, he attended TCU for 5 years. Ray and his wife, Joe Ann (nee Yeargan) have been blessed with 76 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Joe Ann; sons, Dennis (Linda), Joe (Angela) and Glen (and friend, Lynn); grandsons, Dennis, Jr. (Bandi), Brad and Jared; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, John Johnson; sister-in-law, Glenda Williams (C.L.) and 3 nieces and their families who will all greatly miss him.

The family will receive friends and visitors between 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 28, 2021 also at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth with Pastor Dave Jung officiating.
