Ray P. Lofland Jr.

Ray P. Lofland, Jr. was born on July 3, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late L. Jan (Long) and Raymond Pierce Lofland, Sr. He passed away on Monday morning, February 5, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ray was a graduate of Seagoville High School and was a driver for International Paper for the last 27 years. He enjoyed his work on the open road and if he wasn’t driving his truck; he loved spending weekends in his RV with his wife. They could usually be found at the casino with a drink in hand at the slot machines. He and Missy also spent countless hours riding motorcycles in their earlier years.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Missy Lofland of Bedford; daughter, Jenna Vanloon and husband, Jerry of Alvarado; son, Cale Lofland of Fort Worth; daughter, Kathy Kimbrough and husband, Steve of Forney; and daughter, Sonya Evans and husband, Terry of Terrell; grandchildren, Drake, Zeke, Selah, Garrett, Ashton, Chloe, Kelsie, and Kylee; and sister, Paula Smith.

A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst followed by a reception and visitation with his family.
