Ray Rewis

Ray Rewis, born May 5, 1935 in Tattnal County. Georgia passed away on November 6, 2021 in North Richland Hills, TX. Ray served in the US Army in the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956. He is a lifetime member of V.F. post 9190 in Haltom City. Ray moved to Texas in 1968. He worked for Lennox Air Condition MFG in Fort Worth for 23 years. He married the late Jeanette Hurst Moore in 1984 and the couple shared 26 ½ very happy years. Ray is the father to four wonderful children, Bobby Rewis of Athens, TX, Gail Fogal of South Carolina, Cathy Carter of Hazlehurst, Georgia, and Danny Rewis of Guiten, Georgia. He was also stepfather to Ricky, Rebecca, Debra, Sandra and Kenneth.

Ray loved fishing and camping. He had a lot of fishing friends and looked forward to the third weekend of every month. This is when he and his favorite friends would go for a day to fish together.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ordian Tatum; brother, Shorty John and stepdaughter, Debra.
