Reba Belle Fields Mcminn

April 18, 1937 — November 22, 2022

Our beautiful, kind, extravagantly loving mom, grandmother and friend died Sunday after a short and sudden illness. She was not afraid and was surrounded by her family, who love her deeply and will miss her desperately, as she peacefully transitioned into a place of rest and peace with God. She was given the best of care by the exceptionally skilled and kind medical staff in the ER and Trauma Surgery units at THR Harris who worked so hard to help her.

Reba Belle Fields McMinn was born April 18,1937 in Bosque County. She moved to West Texas in high school and graduated from Hale Center High, where she was voted “Most Beautiful”. She lived the last 51 years in North Richland Hills. She was a bank teller at Northeast National- now Wells Fargo for many years. After her retirement, she volunteered at Snow Heights Elementary reading to children and Medical City North Hills Hospital. She spent her days serving others with small acts of kindness, playing games and signing cards with her Tuesday church friends at The Hills Church, and quilting with her beloved quilting group making blankets for shelters and detention centers. She loved delivering them at Christmas- giving hugs and love along with warmth. Her beloved pets were her constant companions and helped fill the loss after her husband James died in 2020. She lived bravely and generously until the end.

She leaves behind her son Shaen McKnight and wife Paulette, daughter Devon McMinn McCain and husband Jeff, her cherished grand children: granddaughter Carson McCain Gray and husband Preston, and grandson Graham McCain and partner Kelly Kolff, her nephew Steve Fields and wife Angie, and her dear pets Bandit and Ace.

Our charge in the difficult days to come is to continue her legacy of love and acts of kindness to the people and creatures around us. The celebration of the life of Reba Belle Fields McMinn will be Monday, November 28 at 2:30 in the chapel of The Hills Church with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, her family would love for you to give to an animal shelter in your area or person who has a need or charity of your choice. Small acts with great kindness.
