Rebecca Bright

BEDFORD -- Rebecca Bright, 61, passed away peacefully with her family and her dog at her home on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
Service: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Hurst.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully ask that donations be made to Mission Central of Hurst or the Humane Society of North Texas.
Beckie attended University of Texas at Arlington where she met her husband, Steve. She graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts and they were married in 1979. Beckie enjoyed working and worked at Carswell Air Force Base, General Dynamics, and retired from First United Methodist Church of Hurst after 20 years of service. Above all, her favorite job was being a mom.
Beckie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jane Betts.
Survivors: Husband of 37 years, Steve Bright; son, Justin Bright; daughters, Whitney Bright and wife Allison; brother, Don "Skip" Betts and wife Carol; uncle, Bev Jakimier and wife Sally; her loving dog, Lucy; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
