Reda M. Ballew Praytor, 96 of Hurst passed away November 3rd in Hurst.
Visitation: Tuesday; 6-8 p.m., Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst; Funeral Service: Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst with burial to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
Mrs. Praytor was born January 24, 1921 in Oak Grove, TX to James and Callie Ballew. She worked as a Union Steward for a candy company and was very involved in Riverside Baptist Church. She was known for being the protector of the underdog.
Mrs. Praytor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years James Praytor; sons Raymond Praytor and Michael Praytor; brother James Ballew and sister Roxy Adams. She is survived by her son Jimmy Praytor; sister Bobby Bunger; grandchildren Ava Praytor, Ethan Praytor, Shannon Honse Mays and Kevin Honse; 4 great-grandchildren and special friends at Bishop Davies Nursing Home: Eric, her Aide; Pam, her Nurse; David, the Administrator and Mr. Sutton, the Owner.
