Rena Otto

Rena Lynn Otto passed away on March 24, 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst.
Rena was born in East Chicago, Indiana on New Year's Day in 1962 to Dee McBrien-Hepler & Edward Christianson. She was the oldest of 3. After growing up in Nappanee, Indiana and graduating from Northwood High school in 1980 she began to travel across the U.S. She finally settled down in NYC where she married her 1st husband and had her 1st born, Rachael. A few years later Rena and Rachael moved to North Texas to be with her family. That is when she had her son, Ben with 2nd husband. She was a stay at home mom and free spirit who loved writing and gardening. But her favorite thing was being a mom. She had the biggest heart and will be missed all.
Rena is survived her daughter, Rachael Mattox and husband Dallas; son, Ben Otto; mother, Dee McBrien-Hepler; brother, Ty Hepler; sister, Leane Christianson; nieces, Kelsey Bowers and Piper Hepler; and other extended family and friends.
