Richard Armistead, 54, of Trophy Club Texas passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday January 13, 2023.

Richard was born on September 3, 1968 in Abilene to his loving parents Bob and Myrna. He grew up in Corsicana and Lufkin. After graduating high school, Richard moved to California and accepted a job with a printing company. He spent about 3 years in California before moving back to San Antonio. After moving back to San Antonio, he took a job at Treasure Chest Advertising Company and this is where he met Mary . They were married on August 20, 1994 and made their home in Trophy Club. Richard graduated with a degree in Computer Science from University of North Texas – Denton in 2003. He came to love the restaurant business and he worked at a number of restaurants in the Dallas area as both a server and manager. He most recently worked at FnG Eats in Keller Texas.

Richard readily admitted that Mary loved to go to the gym and he did not! What Richard did love was gardening, cooking, his 3 fur babies and the Cowboys.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Mary, his mother Myrna Pond, stepfather Phil Pond, his brother Robert Armistead, his fur babies Gertie, Zoe and “Q” . Richard was a loving uncle to Tanner Gaustad, Kayley Minifie (Carl), Jeff Ulfig (Chelsea), Madeline Ulfig (Rick Pinkston) and Nolan Summerfield. He was also survived by extended family and friends.

Richard is proceeded in death by his father Bob Armistead, sister Tolly Armistead, maternal grandparents Mark and Adelle Shirley and paternal grandparents Andy Armistead, Ruth Armistead and step-grandmother Nona Armistead.
