Grapevine - Richard A. (Doc) Borsos, 64, passed away February 14, 2021 following a brief illness with complications from Covid.
Rick was born in Barberton, Ohio and graduated from Tallmadge high school 1975. He also attended Ohio State University.
Rick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for American Airlines as an Operations Coordinator and flight dispatcher for 34 years. He was a long-time member of American Legion Post 379, Bedford Texas. He was an avid golfer, loved football, hockey, bowling and baseball. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music.
He and his wife built their retirement home in Buckeye Arizona and enjoyed spending their vacation time there.
Rick was an incredibly charitable man. He donated to Texas Christian University Basketball and football programs and yearly to Arizona State University football and golf team programs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; mother, Martha Williams of Sun City West, Arizona; brother, Brian Borsos (Laurie) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; sister-in-law, Kim Cousins (Mark) of Dripping Springs, Texas; brother-in-law Norman Falkenburg, Houston, Texas; and with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard P. Borsos and his grandmother, Margaret Gerek.
Visitation hours will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 followed by service at 3:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas Deacon Harry Heinz, officiating. Private Graveside service will be at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona.
If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Rick to your favorite charity.
