Richard Lee Carey

January 27, 1969 — June 29, 2022

Richard Lee Carey, born on January 27, 1969 in Irving Texas, passed away suddenly on June 29, 2022 in Dallas, Texas.
Richard was adopted by his loving parents, Curtis and Leveda Carey, a few days after his birth. He made their family complete. Richard was very close with his parents right up to day they left this world. Richard grew up in Rendon, Texas and graduated with honors from Mansfield High School. After high school he earned his Electrical Engineering degree from ITT. He found much joy in his long career as an engineer. His colleagues knew him to be passionate, hardworking, caring, and a stickler for safety. It would be done right, or it wouldn’t be done at all. Richard had recently studied for an entire year to become UL508A certified, a test that took eight hours for him to complete. He was very proud of this accomplishment. He also just celebrated ten years of service with MultiCam Inc.
Richard was a dedicated father to his only child, Brittany Lee Carey, and grandfather to Ian Troy Carey. He was always there for his daughter no matter what the circumstance. They made many happy memories together.
Richard could be counted on by anyone that knew him. He was that guy that would go out of his way to help a friend or family member in need. He just wanted people to be happy.
Richard loved being outdoors. Fishing and hunting were two of his favorite things to do with family and friends. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Maverick and the Dallas Stars.
Richard Carey will be missed by all who knew him. Gone too soon. Never forgotten.
Richard is preceded in death by his father and mother, Curtis and Leveda Carey.
He is survived by his daughter Brittany Lee Carey, grandson Ian Troy Carey, sister Yvonne Kirbow, spouse Randy Kirbow, nephew Justin Kirbow, and niece Amy Fields. Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Tommy, Aunt Linda, and Uncle Ronnie and many cousins, friends, and extended family.
