In the memory of Richard "Dick" Morse Johnson, it is with deep sorrow that his loved ones announce his passing. A compassionate and devoted husband, father, and Mason, Dick passed away peacefully in Fort Worth on June 16, 2024, at the age of 90. 

Born on September 23, 1933, in Somerville, MA, to Wilbur and Esther Johnson, Dick's life was filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. A proud graduate of Hyde Park High School, Dick furthered his education at the Wentworth Technology Institute in Boston, specializing in structural steel detailing - a skill he passionately utilized throughout his career.

Dick's unwavering commitment extended beyond his professional endeavors; he actively served in the Simon W. Robinson Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Lexington, MA for an impressive 69 years and held the esteemed position of past President of the Lions Club in Acton, MA. His boundless generosity and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

He found solace in creating stained glass art, sketching beloved cartoon characters, embarking on family cruises, cheering passionately for his favorite hockey teams and a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. In recognition of his enduring legacy and significant contributions to his community, arrangements have been made for memorial services to honor and celebrate Dick's remarkable life.

A funeral service is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home-Keller chapel. Dick is survived by his loving wife Donna M. Johnson of Fort Worth, sons; Eric Johnson of Seminole, FL and Neil Johnson of Cape Cod, MA, daughter Adria Cifelli of Cape Cod, MA, step-children; Dawn Erwin of Edgefield, SC, Joy Meis and husband Dave of Laguna Niguel, CA, Scott Grissman and wife Cindy of Lubbock, and Brad Grissman and wife Danieta of Fort Worth, Sister Janet Gilman of East Bridgewater, MA, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nephew Jonathan Gilman and Caroline of Sudbury, MA. , Dick's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.  

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter Ann Robertson, and uncle Charles and Aunt Marion Green. 

As we mourn his loss and celebrate his life, let us remember Dick for his compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. May his spirit live on in the memories we hold dear.
