Richard was born March 9, 1994, in Bedford, Texas to Roseanna and Dieter Nelson.
He is remembered by his friends and family as an intelligent, funny, kind hearted gentle soul whose smile could light up a room. Richard wore his heart on his sleeve and called things exactly like he saw them.
He was a treasure to his family, born at a time that we needed him. He took pleasure in giving to others and had sense of humor that was unparalleled.
He graduated from Trinity High School in Euless and had started taking college courses at Tarrant County College when a diagnosis of Leukemia interrupted his studies. Richard had two wonderful jobs where he got to be around two of his greatest passions; roller coasters and movies. He worked at Tinseltown Grapevine and Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
Richard is survived by his parents Dieter and Roseanna Nelson, his sisters Rachel Sollee and her husband Patrick Sollee, Robin Smith and her husband Oliver Smith, brother Ryan Wicks and his wife Sumer Wicks, nieces Rosalie Sollee and Autumn Wicks. Aunt and uncle Jeanalou and Jerry Moore as well as cousins Jeanice Wheelock and her family and Joellen Moore.
