Richard Rigdon

Born in Prarie Du Chien, WI to William and Marcella Rigdon. He moved to Ft Worth, TX with his family when he was 5 years old where he graduated from Our Lady of Victory High School in 1962.

Richard was a member of the US Navy from February 1963 thru January of 1968 where he served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he attended UTA where he graduated in 1972 with a business degree and went to work at General Dynamics/Lockhead as an Industrial Engineer until 1994. He then continued his career as a truck driver until his retirement in 2018. 

Richard and Mary were married in 1996 and made their home in Ft Worth Texas. Richard was a devoted Christian and active in their Church. They enjoyed traveling together and were able to see all 50 states while he was a truck driver. 

Richard was preceded in death by his oldest son, Richard Anthony Connaway, his Father, Mother, and brother Gary William. 

He is survived by wife Mary Louise; son Ronald Scott Jenkins and wife Nancy; son Matthew Rigdon; daughter Stephanie Sutton and husband Jared; step-daughters Aimee Conley and husband Bill and Allicia Collier; Sister Jeanne Huber; Brothers Stephen and Michael Rigdon; Sister Karyn and Husband Tony Smith; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends

Celebration of life will take place at 11:00 am July 15, 2024, at North Fort Worth Baptist Church, 5801 North Frwy, Fort Worth, TX 76131. Military graveside will follow at 3:30 pm in the Dallas Forth Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mount Creek Pkwy, Dallas Tx 75111
