COLLEYVILLE -- Richard E. Roxburgh passed away peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2012. Services: Private family services will be held at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, Calif. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in Richard's name to the Colleyville Public Library, Attention: Mary Rodne, 110 Main St., Colleyville, Texas 76034. Richard was born in Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 18, 1928. He attended the University of Illinois and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in economics. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was in the Reserve for 13 years, retiring as a major. He was very active in the community and served on the original committee to bring Colleyville its first library where he served as a board member until 2009. The family wishes to thank Community Hospice for their loving care. Survivors: He leaves his wife of 57 years, Greta Roxburgh; his daughters, Linda and Kevin Creed, Karin and John Fisk, and Julie Roxburgh and Chris Hieber; his granddaughters, Catherine and Kelsey Creed; and many other family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
