Richard Craig Scott

Richard Craig Scott was born June 14, 1943 in Fort Monroe, VA and passed away in Bedford, TX.

Richard graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, MO in 1965. Richard and Linda Gerred were married August 7, 1965 in Kansas City, MO. After the marriage Rich and Linda went to Fort Eustis, VA to begin his military service. Richard spent his military service in Germany attaining the rank of Captain. Upon leaving the service, Richard (Dick) graduated from UMKC School of Law and worked as a Labor lawyer in a variety of places including the Dept. of Labor in Kansas City, Eastern Airlines in Miami, Western Airlines in Los Angeles and Delta Airlines in Atlanta before moving to Ft. Worth and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Upon retirement from BNSF Richard and Linda moved to their ranch in Jewett, TX. where they enjoyed ranching and raising Shorthorn Cattle. Richard and Linda were active in the Texas Shorthorn Association and the American Shorthorn Association. After leaving their ranch, they moved back to Hurst, TX.

Richard is survived by his wife, Linda and daughter Erika of Ft. Worth. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Scott of St. Louis and brother John Scott of Kansas City and many other family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Rich will be placed at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
