Richard Wiese, 86, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2015.
Richard began his life on his father’s dairy farm in Illinois where he fed and milked the cows and helped his father deliver milk and other dairy products. He was in the United States Army during the Korean War where he attained the rank of Sergeant.
Richard was a self-employed salesman in the seed production industry which took him to Arizona and finally Texas. He eventually started a business in the oil and natural gas industry in Texas in which he sold oil and natural gas wells to individual investors.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, and spending time with loved ones. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events whenever possible. He was a supporter of TCU football and baseball; as well as the Texas Rangers. He was able to travel the world including Europe and the Holy Land.
Richard never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He loved to tell stories and joke around with people and loved ones. It did not matter the location; he would strike up a conversation about anything with anyone. Richard loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a man of faith which he maintained to the end.
