Ricky Rudolph Cowen was born in Bermuda on January 27, 1960 and took the hand of Jesus on April 11, 2022, receiving the promise of a new life with Him.
Ricky loved working with his hands, especially carpentry, having remodeled several homes and landmarks in Bermuda as well as in Texas. Ricky traveled often with his late wife and the Bermudian swim team to several different countries when his boys were in high school. He has touched many lives in Texas and on the Bermudian island; he will be remembered when people look upon his beautifully crafted creations, such as his work on the historic Denbeigh house. He was a very passionate person about many things and loved a good debate as much as the next person. Ricky enjoyed spending time with family and making people laugh. Ricky was an avid animal-lover and spoiled all his animals equally.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy & Wyndham Cowen as well as his first wife, Kathy Cowen.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Cowen; Son Ronald Cowen & wife Cynthia; Son Robert Cowen & wife Angela; Son James Cowen; Siblings Heather Henderson, Bambi Pimental, & Heidi Cowen; Grandchildren Charlotte, Elizabeth, Keeley, Kaylynn, Javid & Muri; Also survived by other significant family members Michael Mikus & wife Kimberly; Kyle Vorin & wife LaDonna; Nieces & Nephews Katie, Emily, Robert, Joshua, and Trenton.
Family visitation will be at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
