Corporal Ritchie Frank Baird was born July 21, 1987 in Ennis, Texas
Ritchie was raised in the metroplex, attending Arlington ISD through middle school. His family later moved to Keller, where he attended Keller High School, graduating in 2005. Ritchie was introduced to the sport of hockey at an early age spending the majority of his youth playing competitively all across the country and internationally. Ritchie also enjoyed playing golf. After high school he attended Texas Tech University for two years, where he studied Business and discovered his interest in pursuing a career in the real estate industry.
Before starting his career, Ritchie felt the need to serve his country and joined the military. He served four years honorably in the United States Marine Corps. During his time in the military he developed a deeper sense of discipline and responsibility.
Ritchie relished the company of family and lifelong friends. Though he departed too quickly, he developed relationships built on trust, companionship and mutual respect. He was highly valued and cherished by those who knew him.
Ritchie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Hershell Hamiter, Sr., Paul Aaron and Berneta Rae Baird.
Those left to cherish his memories are his parents Jeff and Paula Baird of Keller, TX; brother, Grant Baird of Fort Worth, TX; grandmother, Shirley Hamiter of Blue Ridge, TX; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
