Robert “Bob” Lewis Kuehl, 70, of Bedford, Texas, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 9, 2017 after complications due to Diabetes.
He was born December 25, 1946 to Robert and Beatrice (Macy) Kuehl in Fort Worth, Texas. Bob grew up playing and coaching baseball with his father. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, TX in 1965 with several Major League Baseball prospects. After graduating, Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army. His love for Baseball took him to Germany where he toured Europe pitching for the military. Bob returned to the U.S., started a family and worked in construction for 35+ years. While his 2 boys were growing up, Bob loved teaching them how to hunt and hunting with them. If you asked him, his best day would be bird hunting or waterfowl hunting with his 2 boys. Music was a big part of Bob’s life. He sang with various Southern Gospel quartets for 40 years, delighting the crowds with his deep bass voice. After retirement, in his later years, Bob continued singing and joined the Texan Kitchen Family to sing Karaoke with friends and family.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda, his 2 sons and their wives, Brian & Melanie and Joel & Mandy, his brother John Kuehl, sister-in-law Ann Vernon Hines, grandchildren Corinne, Woods, Annabelle, Hunter, Madison, Mason and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Bob had a large impact on many people and will be missed, but rest for sure, he is with his Heavenly Father singing and praising our Lord and Savior.
