Robert "Bob" Miller passed away on July 27, 2020 in Keller, Texas. He was 78 years of age.
Graveside Service: 11:15 am, Wednesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Community Storehouse of Keller.
Bob was born on July 13, 1942 in Shakopee, Minnesota to Maurice and Verna Miller. He grew up on his family's 70 acre dairy farm with his parents and sister, Maxine. Bob graduated from Chaska High School in Chaska, Minnesota. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1980. Upon leaving the Air Force, Bob began a 25 year career with Exxon in Baytown, Texas.
He was active with the Baytown Symphony Orchestra as their treasurer as well as being a patron of the Houston Symphony Orchestra. Bob was a member Crosby Brethren Church where he also taught Sunday School. He loved long distance running, donating blood and platelets, tending his garden, and keeping his 1971 Ford Pinto, "Clattering Clara" running for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Maxine Benton.
Survivors: His loving wife, Liz; his son, James and wife Julie; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Robert, and Nicholas.
